Two persons died in two separate road accidents in Srinagar and Baramulla.

In Srinagar, a Tata mobile bearing registration number JK05E-6683 hit and injured a girl identified as Mehak daughter of Abul Hameed Khuroo resident of New Colony Palpora at Umarabad, Goripora. The injured girl was shifted to SMHS hospital for treatment where she succumbed to her injuries. After completion of legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites. Srinagar police has registered a case in this regard.

In Baramulla, a Maruti car hit and injured a lady identified as Zubaida Begum wife of Abdul Rehman Wani resident of Harinara Mirgund at Singhpora, Pattan. The injured lady was shifted to JVC hospital for treatment where she succumbed to her injuries. After completion of legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to her relatives for last rites. Baramulla Police has registered a case in this regard.
